„I have been using KOMPRERDELL poles

for years on my expeditions in the Himalayas. Part of the secret of my success is to choose the best partners and teammembers. KOMPERDELL is such a partner and has contributed to my success on the fourteen 8.000m peaks.“

General history

Edurne studied technical engineering and got her degree in personal management at the business school ESADE in Barcelona. She founded her own business – a restaurant with Agro-tourism, called „Abeletxe“. Today Edurne Pasaban is one of the worlds most successful mountaineers who - among other achievements – conquered all fourteen 8000 m peaks She was the second woman to have been on all fourteen 8000 m peaks, as only the South Korean woman, Eun-Sun, beat her by a few days. In 2 parallel but independant expeditions, Edurne Pasaban and Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner reached the peak of Broad Peak at the same time, on July 12th, 2007. The same happened on the Dhaulagiri on May 1st, 2008. In October 2008 Edurne Pasaban reached the peak of Manaslu only one day after Nives Meroi.
