    • Why Komperdell?I like to work with brands, which are following their philosophy over years. And on Expeditions / Skitrips the quality of my gear has to be on point!
    • What are your hobbys? Skiing, Climbing, Mountaineering, Biking, Paragliding ... basically i like to do all those sports, which i am able to in the surounding home mountains of Zermatt.
    • How you got acquintant with your sport? As I grew up in Zermatt the close approach to the ski hill and the mountains where tempting me. Zermatt is like a huge playground.
    • Where do you train? I start with my winter preparation on the glaciers of Zermatt and Saas Fee. This is happening during the months of September till November. As a Freerider I am adapting a lot to conditions, and that’s why the Wallis is the perfect Training base, as I can decide depending on conditions where to go to train. The region offers a lot of different expositions and ski areas. So it’s the perfect environment to get ready for any skiing trip or expedition.
    • What regions/tours/places do you like most? I love to ski the alps. But my main focus is now on the bigger peaks in Southamerika, Alaska and the Himalayas.
    • Your greatest successes? Mountaineering wise it is the first ascent of the 7350m high Jasemba trough its south face, then ascents like the Cerro Torre and the Moonflower on Mount Hunter in Alaska are outstanding climbs which are outstanding in my personal alpinism history. In skiing, there are descends like the one on the Breithorn north face trough the Supersaxon-Route or the descent of the “Pain de Sucre” in Chamonix, which have for myself more importance then my 2nd overall on the Freeride World Tour in 2011.
    • How do you see yourself in 10 years? I hope I can enjoy the mountains still with the same motivation and health, as today!
